Some Frequently Asked Questions

Here are ten things you should know about Fiscability. If we missed any, be sure to contact us.
  1. Who handles my financial affairs?
Only experienced professionals will be assigned to work on your affairs. We treat your personal affairs with the utmost importance, confidentiality and attention to detail.

  2. Are your advisors bonded?
    Yes.

  3. Can I select which services I need to outsource to Fiscability?
Yes. Fiscability offers a menu of services, not a one-size-fits-all bundle of services. We can design a package of services just for your needs, so you pay only for those tasks that you wish to outsource. Fees are fully disclosed in advance; you won't get "sticker shock" when you open our invoice.

  4. Do you protect confidentiality?
Absolutely. We never disclose a client's name or particulars to any person or firm unless we are authorized by the client to deal with that person or firm on his or her behalf. We do not disclose your contact information for marketing purposes.

  5. What about security?
We protect your information in highly secure, encrypted databases. Any information we communicate to you or on behalf of you is encrypted at levels that can't be "cracked" without massive amounts of time and computer power.

  6. I already have a tax accountant and a financial planner. Why do I need Fiscability?
We are not duplicating the services these professionals provide for you. On the contrary, we make their jobs easier by gathering, organizing and reporting the information they need to serve you as effectively as possible. In addition, please note that we're working to save you time year-round, not just once a year at tax time or quarterly when your portfolio needs a checkup.

  7. If Fiscability saves me five hours a week by taking over tasks I'm doing now or should be doing, does that mean you'll bill me for five hours at your hourly rate?
No. In all likelihood, we can perform these tasks much faster than you can do them yourself, for two reasons: We have the technology to maximize our efficiency. And we do these tasks every day, all day, so we're extremely accurate and proficient.

  8. How do we communicate information back and forth?
There's a start-up period where we'll be asking for key information we need to pay bills, reconcile accounts, and prepare consolidated statements. After that, the process is almost transparent from your perspective. We'll send you regular email advisories and updates. You'll be able to monitor our activities on your behalf and to access the latest account information at any time.

  9. What are the key benefits of your services to me ?
The main benefit is simplifying your life and making it less hectic by removing some necessary evils from your weekly "must do" and "should do" lists. Time matters more when you don't have it, and our aim is to give time back to you. If you think you should have more time to live the life you desire, entrusting the daily stewardship of your financial matters to Fiscability is a smart move.

  10. Is it fair to say that everything Fiscability does is something I could do for myself?
Perhaps. Few people, however, take the time to consolidate information from multiple accounts and prepare financial statements regularly. As for the other stuff, such as paying bills and reconciling accounts, just because you can do it doesn't mean you must do it yourself.
